Meet Our Founder: Asiya Nasir

Founder & Chief Empowerment Officer, J.E.S.S.I.C.A. Cares

Asiya Nasir is a woman on a mission — to empower teen girls to recognize their worth, embrace their gifts, and step boldly into lives filled with purpose. As Founder and Chief Empowerment Officer of J.E.S.S.I.C.A. Cares, she has dedicated her life to creating transformative opportunities for young women to rise above self-doubt and step into the fullness of who they were created to be.

With more than 25 years of experience in the corporate sector, Asiya developed a commanding foundation in management, finance, and leadership. But it was her work in the community — teaching battered women, serving homeless individuals, and training as a chaplain — that ignited a deeper calling. She witnessed firsthand how emotional wounds, trauma, and low self-worth can derail potential. That awareness strengthened her passion for mentorship and deepened her compassion for those silently struggling.

Driven by that purpose, Asiya created the J.E.S.S.I.C.A. Cares curriculum — Journey to becoming an Extraordinarily Strong, Successful Individual with Courageous Aspirations. Every step of the program was intentionally designed to reshape internal narratives, silence negative self-talk, and unlock the inner strength every girl carries. Through one-day workshops, 12-step personal development programs, empowerment masterclasses, and annual retreats, Asiya guides girls through the healing, self-discovery, and goal-setting needed to transform their futures.

Under her leadership, participants learn how to stand confidently in their identity, cultivate self-reliance, elevate their self-esteem, and develop empathy and purpose. Community service is a core value woven into her curriculum, ensuring girls understand the power of giving back and the impact they can have when they use their voices, gifts, and compassion to uplift others.

Asiya’s enthusiasm is magnetic. Her ability to connect, encourage, and inspire makes every girl feel seen, valued, and capable. She teaches them that transformation happens one intentional action at a time — and that they have everything within them to build the life they desire.

Asiya is also a two-time self-published author, known for her compelling works:

  • Mirror Mirror On The Wall…Who Am I After All(2018)
  • Non-Profit Doesn’t Mean NO Profit: Changing the Portrait of the Humanitarian Grind(2022)

Her thought leadership has been featured in nonprofit publications including Project Rousseau and Angel Wings Bridge Foundation. As a transformational speaker and life coach, she brings clarity, authenticity, and empowerment to every stage she steps onto.

Her leadership and impact have earned widespread recognition, including:

  • Queens Ball Honoree, Muslim Sisters of Staten Island (2024)
  • Berkeley College Women’s Empowerment Award(2021)
  • United Nations Woman of Impact Award(2019)
  • Numerous community leadership and service awards

Through J.E.S.S.I.C.A. Cares, Asiya is not just changing individual lives — she is nurturing a generation of confident, compassionate, purpose-driven young women equipped to break cycles, lead with integrity, and uplift their communities.

Her life’s work is a testament to this truth:

When you empower a girl, you transform a future.
